Why you're not seeing matches

Empty or unscored Weekend Finder. Here's the diagnostic, in order of likelihood.

Check these in order

1. No expected draw on your act

If venues appear but without fit scores, your act has no expected draw set. The score can't judge capacity fit without it. Set a realistic draw on your act profile and the whole list scores and re-ranks.

2. Radius too narrow

A 30–50 mile radius in a sparse market can come up near-empty. Widen the slider to 100–150 as a test — if venues appear, radius was the issue and you can decide what drive you'll actually tolerate.

3. Location didn't resolve

If you typed a town into the location field and the results look off-center (or centered somewhere unexpected), the town may not have resolved cleanly. Try "Town, ST" format — "Ypsilanti, MI" rather than "Ypsi." When a location can't be pinned, Mintoor falls back to the center of matching venues in the directory, which can land somewhere odd in big states.

4. Genre tags missing

Genre feeds the fit score. With no tags on your act, you lose those points everywhere — set at least one broad tag ("rock," "country," "folk") rather than nothing or something hyper-specific.

5. Everything nearby is "site only"

If your area's venues mostly show the Site only — no direct contact chip, they exist but can't be pitched from Mintoor yet. The directory's verified-contact coverage grows weekly; shortlist them and check back, or pitch through their site in the meantime.

6. Your market genuinely is sparse

Some markets have few live-music rooms, period. If you're in rural Montana, there aren't 20 clubs within 100 miles to find.

  • Widen the radius and accept the occasional overnight
  • Try the location field on the nearest real market and plan a weekend around it
  • A radius beyond ~240 miles stops being a weekend and starts being a tour — consider the Touring tier for short runs
