Connecting your streaming and socials

Venues want proof you're a real, working act. Streaming + socials do that in 10 seconds of glancing.

When you'd use this

You're setting up your band profile and see the "Connect streaming" prompt.

What to connect

  • Spotify artist — the single most-checked link. Venues click here first. Use your Spotify for Artists URL if you have one, or your public artist page.
  • Apple Music artist — a close second. Same logic.
  • Instagram — scannable proof of tour activity. Venues want to see recent live photos, not a dormant feed.
  • Optional: YouTube channel, Bandcamp, TikTok, your own website.

How

Profile → Settings → Streaming & social links.

For each service:

  • Spotify: paste your Spotify artist URL. We validate it, fetch your public display info, and show a live preview.
  • Apple Music: paste your Apple Music artist URL. Same flow.
  • Instagram: paste the handle (@yourband) or the full URL.
  • Other: free-text field, paste any URL.

Save. Links propagate to your public Mintoor page and outbound inquiries within 30 seconds.

What bookers see

On your inquiry email and your public profile, links render as clickable pills:

  • Spotify — small logo, opens your artist page in Spotify
  • Apple Music — same
  • Instagram @yourband
  • etc.

Most bookers scan those pills, click Spotify to hear 30 seconds, then decide whether to keep reading.

What we don't fetch

We fetch public display info only:

  • Artist name, image, and the click-through URL
  • Monthly listeners (displayed on your public page as social proof, if you want — toggleable)
  • Top cities (used for informed Router suggestions — but never shown publicly without your opt-in)

We don't access:

  • Your private Spotify library
  • Messages or DMs on Instagram
  • Analytics you haven't explicitly shared

Disconnecting

Profile → Settings → Streaming & social links → Remove. Link disappears from your profile and future inquiries immediately.

Still stuck?

  • Spotify URL rejected? Some Spotify artist pages have unusual URL patterns. Paste the canonical artist URL (not a specific track or playlist).
  • Instagram preview looks wrong? We cache for 24 hours. Changes on your end may lag by a day.
