Locking a tour and moving to outreach

Once you're happy with the Router's output, lock it and fire the inquiries.

When you'd use this

Your route is solid. Anchors in place. You're ready to stop iterating and start actually booking.

What "locking" does

Transitions the tour from Draft → Outreach state:

  • Route is frozen (no more Router regeneration)
  • Stops become inquirable — each has a "Send inquiry" button
  • You can still edit individual stops (replace venue, shift ±1 day) but only with explicit override
  • Tour enters the Outreach section of your main nav

Steps

  1. Open the tour → click Lock & move to outreach (top-right).
  2. Review the confirmation screen — shows all stops and what inquiries will be sent.
  3. Choose send mode:
    • Send all now — fires inquiries to every stop in one batch
    • Send manually later — tour locks but no inquiries sent; you send one-by-one from the Inquiries tab
  4. Confirm. Inquiries go out (or queue) per your choice.

What inquiries contain

Each inquiry is a personalized email to the venue booker with:

  • Your band profile (name, genre, draw, streaming links)
  • The proposed date for that venue
  • Your guarantee target (from profile)
  • Past shows in that region (social proof)
  • A call-to-action to reply with availability

See How Mintoor sends booking inquiries for the full template breakdown.

After locking

Daily monitoring:

  • Inquiries tab shows delivery + reply status for each stop
  • Bookers reply → threads appear in your Inquiries inbox
  • You negotiate in-thread, confirm deals

When a show confirms:

  • Mark as Confirmed — updates the tour stop status
  • Deal terms populate from the negotiation
  • Day-sheet surface unlocks for that stop

If you need to pivot:

  • An anchor falls through? Unlock the tour, adjust, relock.
  • Adding a new stop mid-outreach? Possible but avoid — it means a late-arriving pitch looks less planned.

Unlocking

You can revert Outreach → Draft if needed:

  1. Tour detail → Unlock tour.
  2. Confirms the unlock with a warning (affects live inquiries).
  3. Active inquiries with replies are preserved. Sent-but-unopened inquiries are notified that you may revise.

Don't unlock casually. Venues notice and lose confidence in your planning.

Still stuck?

  • Inquiries not sending? Check that your outreach template is valid (Profile → Outreach → Template) and at least one venue has a booker email.
  • Inquiries rate-limited? Mintoor caps bulk sends to protect deliverability. If yours are queuing, they'll release over the next few hours.
