Understanding your role and permissions

Four roles, different access levels. Here's who sees what.

The four roles

Owner

The bandleader. Full access.

  • Creates/edits/deletes tours
  • Sees all financials
  • Manages team (adds/removes members)
  • Owns the subscription and billing

Tour Manager

Day-to-day operator. Full access EXCEPT billing.

  • Creates/edits shows on behalf of the band
  • Sees all financials including budgets, P&L, settlement
  • Communicates with venues on band's behalf
  • Cannot change team or subscription

Crew

Road + day-of access. NO financial access.

  • Sees day sheets, travel, lodging, contact info
  • Sees set times, soundcheck, load-in
  • Does NOT see guarantees, budgets, P&L, or settlement
  • Can add notes to day sheets but not edit core deal terms

Guest

Scoped, time-limited access for specific events.

  • Only sees the specific tour or show(s) they're invited to
  • Permissions match Crew for those scoped items
  • Expires on a date (bandleader sets)
  • Good for guest performers, dep players, one-off tech

"Budget visibility" toggle (coming soon)

Some bands profit-share transparently; others don't. A per-tour Crew budget-visibility toggle is on the roadmap but not in the app yet — today, Crew never see the budget regardless of tour.

Switching roles

Only the Owner can change a member's role. Ask them to update via Band → Team → edit member → change role.

Still stuck?

  • Thought I'd see something but don't. Check your role. Permission issues are almost always role-mismatch.
  • Need emergency access to something you can't see? Ask the Owner to temporarily elevate or share directly.
