Why your venue appears in Mintoor

Your venue is in Mintoor even though you never signed up. Here's how that happened.

How the directory works

Mintoor maintains a venue directory of nearly 30,000 rooms across the country. Most listings start as our best research from publicly available information — the kind of detail anyone can find on a venue's website or public booking page — so artists have a useful starting point when they're planning runs.

Venues are welcome (and encouraged) to claim their listing. Claiming turns a "best guess" listing into a "source of truth" listing: you control the capacity, genres, booking contact, typical deal terms, reply preferences, and blackout dates. Claiming is free.

What info we show

Publicly visible on each venue page:

  • Name, city, state, country
  • Address (public)
  • Capacity (estimated or stated)
  • Genre tags (inferred from booked artists)
  • Public-facing contact (booker email if published)
  • Past artists booked (if public data)

Not shown:

  • Private booking phone numbers (unless you've explicitly made them public)
  • Financial info (guarantees, deal terms)
  • Internal staff names

Why this is okay

Your venue is a public-facing business. Your website, your maps listing, your social media all share similar info. Mintoor's directory is simply a useful place for artists to find rooms that fit their run, nothing more.

What claiming changes

Claiming lets you:

  • Correct any wrong info (wrong capacity, outdated email, wrong genre tags)
  • Control what's shown publicly
  • Opt out of receiving inquiries entirely if you prefer
  • Access structured inbox tools

Opting out entirely

If you want your venue removed from Mintoor's directory:

  1. Email hello@mintoor.com from an email address that matches your venue's domain.
  2. We verify you're the venue and remove your listing within 3 business days.
  3. Artists can no longer send inquiries through Mintoor to your venue.

Note: we can't remove the public-source data you gave the internet originally. We just stop displaying it via Mintoor.

Claim vs. opt-out

Most venues claim — it gives them control without removing them from where artists look. Only opt out if you really don't want any Mintoor inquiries.

Still stuck?

  • Wrong venue info can hurt us professionally. Valid concern. Claim it and fix in 5 minutes.
  • Multiple venues under one owner. You can claim multiple venues under one Mintoor account.
