Why venues claim their Mintoor listing
What venues get when they take over their Mintoor listing — and why most of them do within a week of the first artist inquiry.
When you'd use this
You're an artist explaining Mintoor to a venue booker who asks "what do I get out of this?" Or you're a venue booker weighing whether claiming is worth the 5 minutes.
The short answer
Three things: control, qualified inquiries, and zero cost.
The longer answer
1. Control over your own info
Before claiming: the info on your Mintoor page is our best research. It might have the old booker's email, outdated capacity, or wrong genre tags.
After claiming: you edit any field. Capacity, primary booker email, phone, genres programmed, hours, blackout dates, custom blurb. Changes are live within 60 seconds.
2. Qualified inquiries, no booking fees
Artists on Mintoor are running real tours. Inquiries are structured (artist name, genre, draw, dates, past shows, streaming links) — not the two-sentence "I have a band, can I play?" that floods a generic booking email.
And Mintoor never takes a booking fee. If you book an artist from a Mintoor inquiry, you and the artist settle directly. We're the discovery layer, not a marketplace.
3. In-app reply tools
Claimed venues get a Mintoor venue inbox with:
- Structured inquiry view (artist profile, deal terms asked, dates requested, past show history)
- One-click templated responses (accept / counter / decline with reason)
- Calendar integration showing your open dates
- Automatic archive of declined inquiries
- Team access — add your bar manager or talent buyer as a collaborator
You can still reply via email if you prefer — the conversation is captured either way.
4. Analytics
See:
- How many artists viewed your Mintoor page last month
- Inquiry volume over time
- Response rate (good for the "why am I missing out?" conversation with your team)
- Genre mix of artists reaching out (data for your booking decisions)
5. Priority in artist match results
Claimed venues rank higher in the Router and Weekend Finder results than unclaimed ones. Artists are more likely to pitch you because they know they'll get a real human response.
What it costs
Zero. No fees, no contracts, no commission, no feature paywall. Claiming is free for venues; it always will be.
Why we don't charge venues
We're a tool for artists. Venues benefit indirectly but the revenue comes from artist subscriptions. Charging venues would add friction we don't want.
Social proof
As of April 2026, we have ~1,200 claimed venues across the US. Our typical claimed venue sees ~15 inquiries per month and replies to ~40% of them (higher than the industry average for booking email).
Still stuck?
- "We don't want any more booking inquiries." Fair — you can set your claim to "Accepting limited inquiries" or "Not accepting inquiries right now" and Mintoor stops routing artists your way.
- "How do we know this is real and not a scam?" Mintoor is a real software product. hello@mintoor.com, we'll happily jump on a phone call.
