Logging your actuals for a gig
After the gig, log what actually happened. Feeds your year-end Schedule C.
Two-minute post-show flow
- Gigs → the gig.
- Tap Log actuals.
- Fill in:
- Revenue received — guarantee, door cut, any bonuses
- Merch revenue — total cash + cards (not profit yet, just revenue)
- Expenses paid out — gas receipts, any venue expenses deducted at settlement, tips to sound engineer
- Tap Save.
Takes 2 minutes post-show. Less if you capture receipts in real time.
Receipt photo capture
Per receipt:
- Open Mintoor app
- Tap the camera button on the budget item
- Snap the receipt
- Mintoor attaches the photo to that budget item so it's there when you reconcile
You still type in the date, vendor, amount, and category yourself for now. Smart Scan auto-extract is coming as a Pro upgrade — once it's live, you'll snap once and Mintoor will pre-fill the fields.
What Mintoor auto-computes
- Mileage — Mintoor knows you drove from home base to the venue and back. Auto-logs mileage at the IRS standard rate.
- Per diem — if you've enabled it for the gig, Mintoor adds the per-diem allowance.
- Net — revenue minus expenses minus mileage.
This year's totals
Once you've logged a few gigs, the Budget page's year view (pick the "All [year]" pill) rolls everything up: income, expenses, net, a month-by-month chart, and every category mapped to its Schedule C line. See Viewing your earnings.
Still stuck?
