Friday pre-show checklist

24 hours before you load in, run this list. Saves the day-of panic.

What Mintoor surfaces automatically

When the show is within 24 hours and the stop is in a confirmed state, a pre-show checklist appears at the top of the stop detail. It pulls from the fields you've already filled in and tells you what's still missing — load-in time, soundcheck, show time, capacity, notes, address.

Tap any missing item and Mintoor jumps to the right field on the Details tab. As you fill in each field and save, the checklist updates the count (e.g. "5/6 — 1 thing to confirm before doors"). When everything's filled, the strip turns green.

The checklist switches modes as showtime approaches: T-minus 24h shows everything pending, then 6h before it tightens to "6h to showtime", and at the show start time it flips to "Showtime — [venue name]".

The checklist

The venue side

  • Contact person — do you have the booker or day-of contact's phone?
  • Address confirmed — venue address, not management office
  • Load-in time — what time and where
  • Soundcheck window — when's your slot
  • Set time — what time you're actually on
  • Length — how long is your set
  • Doors — when the public shows up
  • Payment method — cash at end of night? Check? Invoice?

Your side

  • Gear packed — instruments, cables, stands, merch, emergency tape
  • Route planned — drive time + buffer (30 min extra minimum)
  • Fuel — topped up the night before
  • Merch inventory counted — start count logged
  • Set list finalized — printed or phone
  • Backup cable — always two
  • Water / snacks — don't rely on hospitality
  • Change of clothes — stage vs. travel

Optional but useful

  • Social post ready — "Tonight at [venue]!"
  • Press contact — if a local blogger is coming
  • Guest list — names to leave at door
  • Invoice draft — if venue pays Net-30

Where Mintoor already helps

Even without an auto-checklist, the stop record already holds:

  • Load-in time, soundcheck, set time (from the confirmed deal terms)
  • Address + contact (from venue record)
  • Drive time from your home base
  • A mileage estimate for the auto-log post-show

Open the stop on the morning of the day before — most of the venue side is already there.

The actual day-of view

If you're already past pre-show and in the actual day, see Mobile day-of-show view.

Still stuck?

  • No contact person. Email the venue to confirm day-of. Also consider whether you want to flag this as a concern for future gigs there.
