Settlement and post-show workflows
After the show, here's the settlement side from your dashboard.
Automatic settlement entry
When you confirmed the show, Mintoor auto-created a settlement record with the deal terms. Pre-filled:
- Deal type (guarantee / versus / door)
- Guarantee amount
- Expense cap
- Your end of the deal
After the show:
- Open the show → Settlement tab.
- Fill in actuals:
- Attendance (door count)
- Gross door revenue (tickets × price)
- Expenses pulled (sound, marketing, anything reconciled at settlement)
- Payout to artist (what you handed over)
- Payment form (cash / check / wire)
- Save.
What the artist sees
Artist sees the same settlement record in their Mintoor and reconciles against their own records.
If your numbers differ from theirs, work it out in the inquiry thread — message back and forth until both sides agree, then update the record.
Common reconciliation causes
- Door count differs from artist's count
- Expense deducted that wasn't in the original deal
- Versus math error
Resolve politely. The numbers on the settlement record are what stay on file for both sides.
Coming soon
- A formal in-app dispute messaging surface (notes, threaded responses, status tracking)
- A 1099-NEC threshold tracker that flags when total year-to-date paid to an artist crosses $600
For now, dispute conversations happen in the inquiry thread, and 1099 reporting stays in your accountant's spreadsheet.
Payment records
Mintoor doesn't process payments — that's between you and the artist.
- Cash: confirm amount on settlement, done.
- Check: record check number + date. Artist logs cleared date.
- Wire / ACH: record transfer date + confirmation number.
Still stuck?
- Artist never replies on settlement. After a couple of weeks, your recorded values stand on file. Keep a note in the thread.
- Need to re-open a settled show. Email us — for now, settlement reopens are handled manually.
