Canceling your subscription

Cancel anytime. Your data stays for as long as you keep the account — active subscription or not.

When you'd use this

You're done with paid features (or done with Mintoor). This page walks through canceling cleanly.

Steps

  1. Profile → Subscription → tap the small Cancel subscription link below the Manage subscription button.
  2. Pick the reason that fits closest (price, not using it enough, switching tools, bugs, taking a break, or other). Optionally add a sentence — this helps us learn what's working and what isn't.
  3. Tap Continue to cancel — Mintoor opens Stripe's cancellation flow with everything pre-loaded.
  4. Confirm in Stripe. The cancellation is immediate — you stop being billed — but your access continues until the end of your current billing period.

Example: you cancel on the 5th, but your monthly billing period runs through the 30th. You keep full paid access until the 30th, then your account drops to the free read-only state.

What "free read-only" means

  • Your tours, gigs, venues, contacts, budget entries, settlements — all preserved exactly as they were.
  • You can sign in and view everything.
  • You cannot create new tours, run the Router, use Weekend Finder, or use any other paid feature.
  • You can still export all of your data (CSV, PDF) even on the free state.

Resubscribing

Change your mind? Resubscribe anytime:

  1. Profile → Subscription → Resume subscription (during the grace period) or Choose a plan (after the grace period).
  2. Pick a tier. Payment method on file is reused automatically.
  3. Paid features re-enable immediately.

No data migration needed — your account is just toggling between states.

Annual subscriptions

  • Canceling an annual plan: no mid-term refunds. You keep full access until the end of the annual period, then drop to the free state. The "effective cancellation date" on your invoice is the end of the annual period.
  • Want a prorated refund for unused annual time? Email hello@mintoor.com — case-by-case, not guaranteed.

For refund discussions on annual plans, email us — we don't have a refund-request form built yet.

Canceling a trial

Trials end automatically on day 14 if you haven't added a payment method. There's nothing to explicitly cancel. If you added a payment method and want to cancel before the first charge: cancel via Stripe portal during the trial — you won't be charged.

What doesn't happen on cancel

  • Your account is not deleted. See Deactivating or deleting your account for that.
  • Pending inquiries you've sent stay valid. Venues you've sent outreach to can still reply even if your subscription lapses.
  • Bands where you're a collaborator are unchanged. Your membership in other accounts is independent.

Still stuck?

  • "Cancel subscription" doesn't appear? You may already be on the free tier (nothing to cancel). Or you have access via a band owner's Touring+ plan — your access is tied to theirs.
  • Accidentally cancelled? Click Resume in the Stripe portal before the current period ends and you're back to normal.
