Upgrading or downgrading your plan
Change tiers anytime. Mintoor prorates the difference so you never pay twice for the same day.
When you'd use this
You're on Regional and your first tour is booked — need the Router. Or you're on Crew but the roster shrunk and you want the Touring tier. Either direction, this is the flow.
Steps
- Profile → Subscription.
- Click Change plan.
- Pick the new tier. Mintoor shows you the prorated change — including any immediate charge or credit.
- Confirm. The new plan is active immediately.
When the change takes effect
- Upgrade (e.g., Regional → Touring): immediate. You're prorated for the remainder of the current billing period at the new tier's rate. Stripe issues a one-time charge for the difference, and your next scheduled renewal is at the new rate.
- Downgrade (e.g., Crew → Touring): at the end of your current billing period. You keep full Crew features until the period ends, then drop to Touring at the next renewal. No partial refunds during the current period.
Proration examples
You're 10 days into a 30-day Regional ($19/mo) subscription and you upgrade to Touring ($64/mo).
- Unused Regional credit: $19 × 20/30 = $12.67
- New Touring cost for the remaining 20 days: $64 × 20/30 = $42.67
- Immediate prorated charge: $42.67 − $12.67 = $30.00
Your next renewal (20 days from now) runs at the full $64/mo.
Annual subscriptions
- Upgrading from annual: Mintoor applies a prorated credit based on the unused portion of your annual plan and charges the new tier at its annual rate. You can choose to upgrade to monthly or stay annual.
- Downgrading from annual: no mid-term refunds. Downgrade takes effect at the annual renewal date.
Features that disappear on downgrade
Some features exist only on higher tiers. If you downgrade from Crew to Touring, for example:
- Roster P&L dashboard disappears (data is preserved and reappears if you upgrade back)
- White-label advance docs revert to Mintoor-branded
- Settlement reconciliation tool disappears
- Invoicing disappears
What doesn't disappear. Your data. Every tour, gig, venue, contact, invoice, and receipt stays. Downgrade hides the interface, not the records.
Features that appear on upgrade
When you go up a tier, the new features are immediately available — no restart, no re-login required.
Still stuck?
- Can't upgrade? Check your payment method is valid (expired card blocks upgrades). Update via Updating your billing information.
- Want to downgrade immediately? Contact hello@mintoor.com — we can do mid-cycle downgrades with a prorated credit for unused days on a case-by-case basis.
