Updating your billing information

Everything you can change about how you pay Mintoor, without creating a new subscription.

When you'd use this

Your card expired, you moved, you want receipts sent to your accountant instead of your personal inbox, or your billing address is wrong on the invoice.

Steps

  1. Profile → Subscription → Manage billing.
  2. Mintoor opens the Stripe Customer Portal — a secure, Stripe-hosted page with all your subscription details. You're auto-logged in via a one-time link.
  3. In the portal, you can:
    • Update payment method — add a new card, remove an old one, set a default
    • Update billing address — shows on your invoices, used for tax calculations
    • Update billing email — separate from your Mintoor login email
    • Download past invoices and receipts as PDFs
    • Change currency (not supported mid-subscription — contact support)

Changes apply immediately. No new subscription created, no prorated charge.

Changing the billing email (separate from login)

Your Mintoor login email (what you sign in with) and your billing email (where Stripe sends receipts and invoices) can be different. Useful if:

  • Your accountant handles payables and needs the receipts directly
  • You want receipts to hit a business inbox, not your personal one
  • You're paying for your band collectively and want one shared billing inbox

To change: Profile → Subscription → Manage billing → Billing email. This doesn't change your Mintoor login.

Tax and VAT

  • US customers: Mintoor charges state sales tax where required by law. Your billing address determines the tax rate. Update it in the portal if you move.
  • EU / UK customers: VAT is applied per your country. Enter a valid VAT ID in the billing portal to apply zero-rated reverse-charge.
  • Other regions: No tax applied at this time.

Changing the company/business name on invoices

If you pay on behalf of a band, LLC, or S-corp and need that name on invoices (not your personal name), add it as the Company name field in the Stripe portal. Appears on all future invoices.

Retroactive invoice corrections

Already-issued invoices can't be edited. If you need a corrected invoice for a specific past month, email hello@mintoor.com and we can issue a credit note + a corrected invoice.

Still stuck?

  • Portal won't load? It opens in a new tab — check pop-up blockers.
  • "Billing email not found" on the login portal? That's when your account's Stripe email hasn't been set up. Email us.
